Why Book Taakoka Muri Beach Villas?

Since its inception in 2011 Taakoka Muri Beach Villas has grown to become one of the islands leading ‘private’ self catered accommodation & vacation rental providers with five properties for all budgets and requirements on our beach setting without the crowds and high rises.

In 2013 Taakoka Muri Beach Villas were awarded 'Supreme Winner' in the Air New Zealand Cook Islands Tourism Awards for 'best private rentals' and were again a finalist in 2016.

Our properties are also listed on Air BnB and we are 'Super Hosts' with 250+ reviews as well as 'Premier Hosts' on VRBO with loads of 5* reviews and are Cook Islands Tourism Council 'Accredited' for 2024.

Located three and a half hours from NZ in the middle of the South Pacific and set on the ‘Golden Mile’ of Muri Beach Rarotonga this 3/4 acre section stretching from road to beach offers modern beach houses for couples, families and those seeking luxury and privacy in their own property, not multiple hotel style units.

Offering private beach areas the section has stunning landscaped swimming pool with sun area & loungers, kayaks and plenty of lawn and gardens giving a feeling of space and privacy.

The properties range from a Studio room for two guests to a large three bedroom 180 sqm beach front house right on the beach with its own private beach area, two modern two storey villas and our flagship house Taakoka Villa boasting its own lagoon facing salt water pool.

All properties have access to our large salt pool set amongst tropical gardens to catch the sun.

No matter which accommodation you choose, as a 'self catered' holiday/vacation home you are safe & secure away from others. Our cleaning and servicing has been fine tuned since Covid-19 to ensure your property is clean and sanitised.

As Kiwi owners we are based on the island and help you throughout the booking process with loads of info and are on hand before and during your stay should you need help or advice with what to see and do to help maximise your time here in paradise!

muri beach studio - $299 NZD per night for two guests

the Studio is so popular for two guests compared to a hotel room with air conditioning, super king bed, BBQ, your own paddle boards and just steps to the beach and lagoon. eat, read or dine in one of the two outdoor areas incl a private sun area with loungers.

koka villa - $485 NZD per night - up to four guests

koka villa has its own private deck with BBQ, table and chairs, sunloungers on the lawn and is just steps to the pool !

bath towels, beach towels (1 beach towel per person), face cloths, bath mats, soap, hairdryer, toilet roll, tissue. towel items are not replaced and to be laundered by the guest if required through stay.

outside / beach

BBQ, sun loungers, outside table and chairs for dining, selection of snorkel masks, snorkel pipes (no flippers / fins), kayaks, paddle boards (Taakoka Villa & Studio only), foot bath, outside shower.
